There is just no reason for parking like this.
I think he/she’s trying to avoid someone damages his/her nice car. That said, with that kind of behavior that may be the best way to have someone doing that on purpose.
Even if deserved the plate should be blurred…

I’ve seen someone park like that in de CHL underground parking (where there’s almost no place available), so s/he was basically using a place which would’ve been available.

They do this for one simple reason : people parking next to them don’t care and will smash his car. I have seen it many times. I even asked a guy why did you not pay attention when opening the door ? He shrugged and left. Of course I took his plate and gave it to the guy who had his car dented.
It’s illegal to park like that btw. If you do it at a public parking you get a fine. At Belle Etoile you can go to the info reception and tell them, then they say the plate over the mic and tell the person to move their car. Best way to shame those idiots lol

This person is asking for you to check around and if there is no one watching, lightly scrape your keys along the full length of the car.
He or she will keep parking like this until you do it. It’s like the “learn how to live in a society in which you are not the main character” special behavior unlock.

Not many car guys here on Reddit😂 This is a very nice and expensive car. I totally support that guy‘s action as long as not every spot on the parking is occupied, why would you even care what other people are doing? If this was the last spot and he‘s blocking a person from parking his car, he should get fined but otherwise?🤷♂️
Also funny how everyone is trashing the guy when actually the reason he is acting like this is because of how shit our society is today and most people don‘t respect other people‘s property and willingly smash their doors against other cars… Also what is this argument with insurance? You can still have the best insurance but some sorts of scratches can‘t be totally fixed or the insurance won‘t cover it.
Also what kind of attitude is it to say „let‘s not give a fuck, insurance is there to cover it“ because this will only lead to insurance prices getting more expensive with time for everyone… (in case some people didn‘t figure out yet how insurances work)
