The free advertising Tesco clubcard deals are getting via reddit and Twitter is out of hand
2 years ago they were selling a same size luxury cone and berry tree for £12.50 (down from £50) so I seriously doubt these were ever anywhere close to €250.
Thanks for letting me know, I’ll go there for my Christmas decorations now x
It’d be interesting to see what a similar tree is going for elsewhere.
It’s really putting me off Tesco
Stop shopping in the kip.
I’d love to see the proof that they are normally priced at €240 considering other shops have them ranging from €99-€140!
Edited to add: to see proof that Tesco have actually sold them at this price before and aren’t just saying it in order to make the Clubcard price more appealing.
Without judgement, why are people not liking this when all you have to do is get a clubcard? I dont get it.
I’d nearly pay the €240 to spite them. Really stick it to them and their poxy clubcard.
It should be illegal dual pricing. You have to give some data to Tesco so they can sell to third parties to get a discount how do they get away with it
Are clubcards free? Or are they a membership or something?
Just install the app with a fake name, email and details. Then we can be done with these posts
I’m glad I’m not Christian..
Oh no, tesco gonna know i bought one of these and sell data to mark zuckerberg
Dunnes all the way for me, great selection and they are Irish…
Proof to anyone who needs it how valuable your data is to corporations.
Is this the weirdest thing this sub has ever gotten worked up over?
The best words I heard this year came from my Female Housemate was “Not going to bother putting a tree up this Xmas”
I don’t really understand what they think they’re doing here other than, again, as always, giving you the option to have a club card.
You can still shop elsewhere in my places.
Anywhere there’s a tesco, there’s usually an aldi, lidl, dunnes not toooo far away, right?
In fairness, who dowsn’t have a clubcard?
It’s things like this that lead to losing trust and footfall.
The only ones who m care about their data are the ones doing shady shit
I saw “special offer” stickle bricks (kids toy) for 40 euro or 25 with club card. Was very tempted but was waiting on pay day, but googled them, 24.99 in Smyths not on sale, not on special offer. Total madness. Haven’t been back to tescos since and don’t plan on ever getting a club card.
I dont think they expect anyone to buy them at that ridiculous price. They just want you to become a club card member.
The lengths they’ll go to to grab ur info…
SV are in on this little game too. They were selling a box of 6 particular bottles of wine at €50 w/club card or €100 without. You can buy the same wine at €10.95 p/bottle Instore without a clubcard. Yes there’s a saving of €6 to buy the box but this hyper inflation of “non clubcard” is bonkers.
