Would love to read the article, but sadly I don‘t understand it.
What is the point of these sort of articles beyond clickbait?
Its fucken boring. Us and them narratives all the fucken time.
I swear im signed up as a member of 9 seperate social groups marginalising polyamourous, intergender, transracial Smurfs in the time it takes me to go from my bed to my bathroom.
I dont care what you do with your life. Stop assuming i do.
Where does male intolerance stem from?
I can tell you.
It stems from every time some insecure asshole tells my little boys that boys don’t cry.
It stems from every time some insecure asshole tells them that X is a “girl’s thing” and that they have to like “boys things.”
It stems from every time they’re told by some asshole not to do X like a girl.
I realize it’s an unpopular opinion around here, but toxic masculinity is very real—even in “non-macho” Switzerland—and it harms development. And those of us who want to raise healthy, well-adjusted young men who have a handle on their emotions have to fight like hell to counter all the pervasive gender bullshit that is STILL thrown at them.
And yes, later on these attitudes toward masculinity absolutely influence perceptions toward the gay community. It’s pretty unbelievable to me that according to local polling in my area, *young people* are not overwhelmingly in favor of Ehe für Alle.
Is there an english or german variant? I‘d love to answer the question since the mere mention of the word „male intolerance“ makes me want to puke and question people’s IQs. Blows my mind that people can pretend to fight for equality while being this sexist.
Then again I‘m probably not missing much since the article is most likely just garbage rage bait anyways.
Because unlike femininity, masculinity has to be proven to society. Men have to prove to society their condition of being men and homosexuality/being gay is seen as threat to masculinity, a loss of the condition of men.
Their reasoning is that if they support gays or something gay-related people will think they are doing it because they are gays so that would threaten their condition of a male in society.
And what about toxic femininity?
