UK opposition parties to table amendments to delay deletion of 4,000 EU laws

  1. … To be replaced by 4000 laws protecting corporations, nondoms, tax loopholes, tory mates, lobbying, etc etc etc.

The loss of these laws will not benefit the average person, their health, welfare, rights, or the world they live in or the one their children will inherit.

    …… Because cunts.

  2. This has been my biggest worry about Brexit. Well drafted laws and rules created by a multi-national, multi-disciplined EU hive mind to be suddenly scrapped and replaced by Tory-driven self-centred bullshit that only serves the Tories and leaves everyone else to fend for themselves.

EU laws were, and still are, entirely usable here in the UK. They’ve been created and amended for years. Why scrap them only to spend a fortune to draft replacements? Absolutely insane.

  3. Hold them off until after we rid ourselves of the Tories in government and then it’ll be easier to rejoin with these laws still in place.

This is the only reason the government is trying to rush it through.

  4. It’s about time they ripped up those pesky EU laws and gave us what we voted for!

We’ve been repressed by them for too long and I for one am excited to work longer hours, not get paid sick leave, scrap paid leave so children can get a good start in life, and can’t wait to reduce my annual leave so I can work more each year.

    /s if you can’t tell

  5. I barely know the basic laws that we have to go by in our day to day lives and even then I bet I break one or two…

4000 other laws? Fucking hell I’m a master criminal.

  6. If the deletion of 4K Eu laws passes the UK will have more holes in it than Swiss cheese I just don’t get why this was even a thing when can make new rules over top that override set rules.

  7. Say goodbye to a lot of workers’ rights if this happens. It might be a slow erosion but the Tories are going to try and get their British Bill of Rights through and that will see a lot of the freedoms we have enjoyed disappear.
