This is not even that bad when you’re talking about ugly houses, far worse offenders out there.
Luckily there is at least one country now that satisfies my chaotic mind.
I don’t understand what’s wrong?
So you don’t like this color? this is why belgium is a mess?
Belgium is not a mess, we’re the best.
Agreed, who paints their house pink
??
Bruh, could have taken more infamous examples other than this incredibly mild one.
It’s a worldwide phenomenon but purely functional design without any decoration looks really bad compared to even modest buildings from the time before modernism.
We are building a very boring future.
I thought this looked familiar…
Karnemelkstraat, Roeselare. Barely a hundred meters from the biggest church in city center.
Ah yeah. The thing is that I´m used to seeing the mix of different styles, colours and heights in our cities. If I go to France or Holland I get tired of walking the streets rather fast, because everything looks so samish. I like all the quirks and details in our streets.
Belgians build what they dreamed 🙂
Some had a nightmare!
It is true that Belgium has some questionable architecture sometimes, but this is so much better than neighbourhoods where the houses all look almost exactly the same.
if I ever came in a restaurant and asked for a steak and got the answer “oh, you can’t because the tables next to you are having fish” I’d leave
why would someone not be allowed to build the house they like just because the neighbour liked a different house, those things are wholly unrelated and the fact that uninvolved people think they ought to have a say in the matter urks me even more
They shouldnt mix new architectural style with old
I don’t mind this, it’s the awful pink colour next to it that’s an eyesore
Isn’t it the job of the urbanisme to stop this from happening ?
If you have a glass plate against your wall your house has to break stile with the surroundings, it is the law.
