I actually looked into this further earlier. It says he did it ten years ago yet some of the information was on the wikipedia page in 2008
The first toaster was made by Crompton and Co of Leeds but that seems to have been wiped now so “officially” they’ve taken the first “patented” American one to be the first
So yeah, I think this article is actually them being hoaxed x2 and wikimods are fucking the truth and removing legitimate information alongside the bullshit
