Police response to violence against women in this country is appalling. Apologies are not sufficient; these women made ten separate reports to the police. They could have been saved.
The audio recording of her asking for help is so heartbreaking, the way the responder just dismisses her fears and talks to her like she’s stupid. They have blood on their hands.
So sad. Unfortunately this is why I exaggerate things when I’m reporting something regarding my immediate personal safety or safety of others. Nobody ever listens otherwise. My gut hasn’t been wrong so far.
