  1. Crime continues to hit unprecedented levels as a direct result of Tory cuts to both police numbers and successful early intervention programmes set up by the last Labour government. Meanwhile the government continues to ignore the problem and hope it goes away. It’s a scandal.

  2. Very tragic and I obviously hope they catch the criminals and return his money, but what for the love of Christ made him think keeping £3,000 in a tin at home was a good idea?

  3. Not only is it bad but it is someone who he would know. He said he was gone for 45 minutes and it was hidden under his bed.

  4. I grew up in Thanet but left in 2006, wasn’t able to visit again till 2012, I know it wasn’t great but I swear it went down hill so fast. I visited again in 2014 and it seemed like they were trying to make improvements but from everything I’ve read and heard from family it doesn’t appear to be getting any better. Shame really part of me still really misses living there.

  5. Apparently only 5% of crimes get solved. Honestly feel sorry for the criminals who get caught, seems pretty unlucky to actually get caught for anything these days. /s.

  6. Broken society. Inept Police and deluded Court system.

But hey, let’s see who’s in I’m a Celeb this year.

  7. Somthing seems odd here, so he left his window open. The burglar entered the home, took only the money, which was hidden in a tin under his bed?
