I love it. I eat it just like it is. Either warm or cold. Don’t like anything else with it. It’s better warm.
Omg I love this! We eat this with strawberry jam, as a dessert.
Yes! Microwaved for ~15 seconds and with some good jam!
It is fantastic. With lempari it is cool.
“Juustoleipä” in Kainuu region. Very good when heated up so that it melts a bit and some cloudberry jam on top (lakkahillo).
Nami nami, squeeky squeek 🤤
Shit I gotta buy this, been ages since I ate it.
I eat it cold and I eat it with honey. Love em
We all love it ! I once went to a nepalese restaurant in Helsinki and they had a dish with leipäjuusto in it. It was fucking spectacular ! Don’t remember the name but it was in Ruoholahti. Next to the metro station.
Heated in oven with raspberry jam
Yes. Its been many years since i ate it but always ate it with jam.
TIL it’s called squeaky cheese in the United States
Warm slices of breadcheese at a low tempreture in a saucepan with a splash of milk untill the breadcheese becomes all saggy. Serv the warm breadcheese in a bowl along with a large portion of cloudberry jam.
Squeaky cheese! Narskujuusto, god i love it. So good!
I just eat it cold from fridge without anything.
Put it on cup of coffee. So many different coffees, irish coffee, coffee with cheese, plörö, capuccino and so on.
Another great way to use it is as a paneer substitute. Add some to leftover curries for another meal.
I do like it! You can eat it by putting it in your mouth, chew, and swallow.
Warm with cream is my choise.
Heated up straight out of the oven, with cream and cloudberry jam.
Italian here, everything I’m about to say will sound like a blasphemy, but here me out. First month in Finland supermarket I had no idea on what was that strange shape. After some friends told me to try this strange Finnish cheese that , by their own words was utterly odd. So I gave it a try without adding nothing and it was a bit tasteless and strangely spongy. But after some trials I found out that if you melt it down a bit, and you put it on a slice of toasted bread with salame is rather good. Now go on and shower me with insults, I deserve it
Like it. I eat it as is, cold, or add a bit of salt.
Prefer fresh from small producers(*, but if not possible, Juustoportti is the best brand.
(* If you are in the know, you are able to get ones that have been just baked.
I heat it up in a pan with butter. Best taste that way.
Heated, no jam.
Never liked it much though, I’m not much of a cheese person.
I dip it into coffee.
Slice it up, wrap slices into bacon – try to cover the slices as best as you can. Grill until bacon is cooked. Leipäjuustopekoni.
Cold is correct
Dry it up, fry it golden brown with butter on a frying pan. Add your favorite side, but not necessary. No coming back from frying it! (But do dry it up as its wet in the package or its a soggy mess)
do you eat it? i love it in any form
Cold and topped with classic cloudberry jam. And, of course, a cup of hot tea.
Like?
Whe it’s on the menu I eat it like there’s no tomorrow.
Warm it in cream and serve with thornberry jam = I’ll eat yours as well
With fries and gravy!
with coffee
I agree that it’s great melted. If you want to make it even better, melt it a bit on a pan with butter, instead of using the microwave :3
Cut to small pieces, drop in coffee, fish out with your spoon, enjoy! That squeeky texture, mixture of cold and warm is the best.
Also 3am straight from the fridge is fine.
Sometimes just like it is but usually with rasberry or cludberry jam and a cup of coffee on the side. If feeling really adventurous I might have a leipäjuusto salad. Although it is meant to be more of a sweet treat.
Btw, tell me that’s not ice cream on the pic, innit? Even with all these comments here that feels very weird choise…
Warmed up with maple syrup, tastes like French toast! Also, sliced up and then dunking slices in hot milky tea til they soften up. Then enjoy!
Cold, cut into nice little pieces.
We put it in a shallow dish, pour cream on it (about 5mm on the bottom), then sprinkle cinnamon all over it, then into the oven at 200 until just a little melted. Serve with lakkahillo.
Incredible.
Microwaved on a piece of bread with basil and tomatoes or just cold on its own
