Beautiful fresh morning today, with a photogenic rainbow to top it off. I also found a wasp in my kitchen today, has anyone else ever seen wasps buzzing about this time of year?

  1. I saw a bee once in November, in the sitting room. I didn’t see it until after it stung me, it was very sore

  2. I laid back onto a wasp when I went to bed last last week & she got me.

It’s very late, but wasp queens are going into hibernation now that temperatures are dropping. I have seen them around my beehives the past week, but the hives are very strong so they have their porridge if they think they can get in. The hives themselves are going nuts still, loading up on ivy nectar (ivy honey is like Marmite – you love it or hate it: my dog loves honey but runs from ivy honey & i agree).

So, yes, it’s a weird year.

  3. Oh yea, we turned the heat on for the first time a week ago. 2 of cunts came out of the radiator.

So i think they are low key hibernating (queens do) and then when we put heating on, waking up.
