You can get the flu vaccine (and the Covid one) in certain pharmacies now. The pharmacists will have undergone training, and the process may well be faster than in a doctor’s practice.
You can use [this search engine](https://www.mein-apothekenmanager.de) for finding pharmacies which offer this. Click “Serviceleistungen”, then “Grippeimpfung” for the flu vaccine or “COVID-19-Impfung” for the Covid vaccine. Enter your address or zip code into the field above, then “Suchen”.
I called the pharmacy before going, as their website recommended, and they said I could just come in. There was a form to fill for insurance purposes, and I got the vaccine directly. The flu vaccine is recommended and covered by insurance for certain groups, so they might ask why you want/need it. I said that I work with children and old people, and that was all that was needed.
I’m posting this because I totally managed to miss that this was a thing now until I started looking into the flu vaccination, and most people I’ve mentioned it to IRL didn’t know either – pharmacies giving out vaccinations is new in Germany since Covid.
