  1. Tell them the next time they come they can sleep in the far car park in the courtown woods. Beautiful spot and definitely no shenanigans.

  2. Really weird but someone I knew used to go hang out down one of the quays in Cork City and watch the prostitutes run between their pimps and customers doing deals. Scandalous as a younger person, not knowing anything about this stuff besides what you’d see on tv. Looking back …they were the weird ones going down there to look.

Down the marina by the lively new Stadium before it became all cleaned up there were definitely dogging down there after a certain time. And it was the “lady boy” spot.

  4. That’s shocking carry on..Can’t believe such a thing would happen. I for one will not be found in that car park tomorow night at 11.30pm in a red VW Golf and I couldn’t possibly be definitely up for some strip poker or fun

  5. Dude probably went up for a spliff or was on the phone ,calm the cacks Karen. I’m my mind camping out in the car is the weird behaviour here.

  6. Can’t beat tugging one off onto the hood of a navy blue Honda civic, while a hairy fucker pounds someone inside

  7. Wow people go there for free random sex with strangers?
Does anyone know anymore of these spots (especially around north Dublin) so I can avoid them.
Also within driving range of Dublin. Wouldn’t want to end up in one.

  8. Disgusting as a Midlander I can’t believe this type of thing happens in my area.

You won’t find me at Ladestown Shore Parking at 11:30 in a Silver Peugeot with the doors unlocked, no sir, not me ever.

  9. It worries me that they are travelling to places without a responsible adult when then don’t know what dogging is and also think it’s safe to go up to someone’s car and ask them if they’re ok.

  10. I didn’t like her little dig about ‘we live in one of the safest European countries’. Ireland is number 2 on the GPI for 2022, so unless she’s from Iceland, then she’s living in a less safe country than we are.

  11. I’d say first, don’t go to have a chat with the weird man alone in their car at night. Second, don’t hang around playing cards for an hour after he’s been showing you the porn he’s watching. And third, don’t tell him you’re not bothered about it. Tell him you want nothing to do with it and just leave, like you should have an hour before.
I’d say you should follow this advice whatever country you’re in. Unless you’re into strip poker with strangers in carparks at night.

  12. Bullshit.

    1. Nobody walks over to another car to see if the driver is ok after 10 minutes
    2. Car camping in Ireland in October-November – are you fucking serious
    3. Carparks in Ireland are not camping locations. Most explicitly prohibit it.

So yeah Bullshit. And if this is real then this guy was just an opportunistic predator

  13. At the risk of being downvoted, it seems that everybody is so keen to be right on and sexually liberated here that they are missing the point that his actions were clearly sexual harassment.

He asked two random women if they wanted to play strip poker or to have sex, when it was clear that they weren’t there for the dogging. Neither was he. He was there for the wanking. Nobody rise was engaging with him.

Not that dogging sites are a legal thing anyway, but the only evidence that it was a dogging site is the wanker in the car.

A slight tweak in the story here and this might blow up in a way that Reddit Ireland wouldn’t particularly like.

  14. Is it not a halfway point to stop from Dublin or am I being nieve? When I say stop I don’t mean take out a mattress in the back and then approach another man in his car for sitting in his!!

  15. Anyway I have a similar story. A foreign friend of mine visited Ireland, camping in Ireland.

Ends up is a camp site where she makes the mistake of talking to a guy in the car next to her. He proceeds to:

1: watch porn in his car in a way they could see while obviously masturbating.

2: approached them afterwards asking to play strip poker.

3: demanded they participate in sex.

He said it was a dogging site. There’s no such legal entity in Ireland. Anyway there was nobody else there said who was he dogging with?

Is this acceptable behaviour in Ireland?
