    Worst of all. When you go to the police they don’t do a thing about it. They just openly say ‘nothing we can do about it

    I know multiple parents who fell for this kind of traps.

  8. My mom had this scam Two times. And she almost fell for it first time. And she said “but they know who I am because they knew your name”. No mom.. you asked “Donotcrossthedodos, is that you?”.

  11. They scammed my major, luckely his wife found out and called the bank.

    De burgemeester van Zoutleeuw, is in de val getrapt van een online fraudeur. Die deed zich via Whatsapp voor als zijn zoon en vroeg geld. Herbots schreef 1.000 euro over maar besefte vlak daarna dankzij zijn vrouw dat het om een bedrieger ging. De bank heeft de overschrijving nog kunnen tegenhouden.

  12. My mother once had a scammer and found it weird, she kept replying.
    She started to ask question if my daughter liked a certain dress. My daughter only wears black. Then she was 100% sure it was a scammer.

    I told her to never reply to those messages, if she igners them she will less likely be messaged again.

  18. Had the same message on my wifes phone last week….fuck those scammers..my son is 8 he dont have a phone..

  19. Some are really good. My grandma got a text supposedly from her son in France, even the exact location was correct! What gave it away was the “love you” in the end
