How to replace an ‘inbouwspotje’? (Turning doesn’t work)

  1. Seems like the spot covers are made of two different rings.

Would it be possible that the key to open it isn’t by manoeuvring the spot, but one of the two rings, so they dissociate from each other?

Then the inner ring could be removed and the spot would be freed?

  2. Some gu10 are shitty and don’t fit well, either to tight or to loose. Especially shitty cheap ones, which these could be judging from the sloppy paint job.

  3. Waarschijnlijk een ring die in de huizing zit, die de spot op zijn plaats houdt. Dus die eerst los draaien (meestal gewoon kwartslag) en de spot komt er uit

  4. The black ring needs to come out. Lightly push the lamp inwards and grab hold of the plastic. Either you can just pull it straight out, or else you might need to twist it a quarter turn. This shouldn’t require much force.

And then once the lamp is hanging out, you should be able to remove the lamp from the socket. Depending in the bulb type, that might require a quarter turn as well.

  5. Jou first have to remove the metal ring over the spots. Put a screwdriver underneath it on the side of the lamp and pop those covers off.
