Thank you! This has been explained to me a dozen times but it helps to have a diagram.
I read somewhere that a separate bachelors and masters technically are considered a slightly higher educational level than integrated masters. Not that it matters, but does anybody know if this is true or not?
Now just add the arrow for university access if you do not qualify otherwise but are over 25
lol doctorate in music
This is kinda wrong though.
Norway has a very competitive system, it’s not like in some other european countries where anyone can start any further education. It’s very much dependant on where you score compared to your peers. So you have a right to access if you are good enough.
Same for what is called general upper secondary education here. As far as I know you can’t just go to any school or go do any studies, you need to be good enough compared to your peers.
So if you fuck around a bit in your teens it can have consequences.
I very much prefer the system where I am from and everyone who finishes their secondary education can go do any university course. Maybe you were not commited at 16, but at 18-19 you might be.
What is “master experience-based”?
phds can be 4 years long if you have a teaching commitment.
Every time I get a bachelor I spend a year jobhunting then start a different bachelor and hope it will lead to a job. So far im 900 thousand kr in debt lol, maybe I’ll do computer science next.
One of my Norwegian friends has a *cand.mag*. Where would it fall in this diagram? I’m told it’s not offered any more, but I’m curious how it would rank.
I believe there might be some changes, especially if a person studies abroad.
I might be missing it in the graphic but how do you learn a job you dont need a bachelor or master for?
I am currently learning “chemical lab technician” in germany and its a 3.5 year program. How would you learn a job like this in norway?
It should include daycare, which has become a partnof the education system. Its far from the “child storage” it used to be and now has a focus on pedagogic value.
Automation is 3years vocational upper secondary school, not 2years. Also the apprenticeship is only 1.5years in automation.
Where does the ‘Fagskole’ fit into this? Or is that the ‘Tertiary vocational’ box?
