Tbh there desperately needs to be a Dublin allowance for public servants like there is in London. Of course it will never happen as it’s politically a non starter because of rural people complaining about dubs getting everything and also many private sector workers in my experience hate the idea of public servants getting any pay increase
If there’s a shortage of literally everything, won’t it just cancel out and there’ll be a shortage of nothing!
