Thought it might be Ardmore but the mountains in the background don’t fit.
There aren’t too many round towers on an Irish coastline with mountains in the background.
Seeing as the artist is from Donegal, I’d wager it’s a coastal Ulster town.
Considering he was from Donegal and he painted a lot in NI, and based on the coastline profile and hills, I would guess Larne, Northern Ireland.
The part I can’t connect is the buildings on the left side, maybe they got destroyed in the meantime, including the copula building, however the cone tower to the right of the village I think it’s a monastery tower not a lighthouse and on the low tide it connects to land.

That’s the view from Supermacs, Salthill, Galway.
Roches point Cork?
Seems to fit the bill with a squat lighthouse and towers in the back near a hill.
It could be bloody anywhere though… Or nowhere… Bits could have been added for artistic licence.

It’s the beach. This is so easy.

Check this link, the angle of the pic is approximate, but not the same – [https://www.google.com/maps/place/Larne+Golf+Club/@54.8527019,-5.7796039,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipMyD6FKh_-6CZcr6RWXNvmW8ciBPfo2w09Y0ak5!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMyD6FKh_-6CZcr6RWXNvmW8ciBPfo2w09Y0ak5%3Dw203-h132-k-no!7i4026!8i2631!4m5!3m4!1s0x486197c3892a7c8f:0x3e0dcf22f941e9ff!8m2!3d54.8528289!4d-5.7795119](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Larne+Golf+Club/@54.8527019,-5.7796039,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipMyD6FKh_-6CZcr6RWXNvmW8ciBPfo2w09Y0ak5!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMyD6FKh_-6CZcr6RWXNvmW8ciBPfo2w09Y0ak5%3Dw203-h132-k-no!7i4026!8i2631!4m5!3m4!1s0x486197c3892a7c8f:0x3e0dcf22f941e9ff!8m2!3d54.8528289!4d-5.7795119)
I believe this is Larne, from Ferris Point, somewhere on the beach east of the Ferris Point lighthouse. The large round building in the foreground bears a striking resemblance to the [old Ferris Point lighthouse](http://irishlighthouses.blogspot.com/2022/02/the-old-ferris-point-lantern.html), and the tall narrow featureless tower on the far shore could well be the [Chaine Memorial Tower](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaine_Memorial).
