No wonder he didn’t come back. I wouldn’t either, he just has to talk and people pay him. In the other job he would have do something & keep his colleagues in line, like herding feral cats.
Obama was paid $600,000 for speaking. The Clinton’s made over $7million for 30 speeches to the banks. No wonder they want the top political jobs.
When reading headlines like this, a natural question would be ‘why would anyone pay that much to hear a speech?’
The answer is they are not paying for the speech.
These incredibly lucrative speeches seem dodgy as fuck to me.
How is it possibly worth hundreds of thousands to hear someone speak for an hour?
Would be a very easy way to openly pay former leaders for favours they did while they were in office.
Nice if you can earn it. Let’s face it we are all slightly jealous we can’t earn that sort of money
The Guardian campaigned tirelessly to get him out of his job, so why are they surprised and envious when he went out and got a better paid one?
Its a bit lazy just selectively going through the Members Register of Interests for your stories
The man owes millions, he will never be rich. From one loan to another.
