Ryanair being Ryanair

  1. Talk all the shit you want about Ryanair but I won’t hear a bad word said about their pilots.

Those “hard” landings are actually what’s recommended by the manufacturer for safer landings.

  2. Never forget that fucker Michael O’Leary wanted a standing section in the back of his planes and said it would be perfectly safe.

  3. I was on a Ryanair flight that properly crash landed with a bang and a crack. Sounded like a wheel went. There were a lot of frightened passengers and they just pretended nothing happened.

  4. They land hard to slow the plane down quicker so they don’t need to use reverse thrust and brakes as much which cuts down maintenance costs.

That being said, it’s one of the reasons I don’t fly Ryanair unless absolutely necessary. That and I find their cabin crew completely uninterested in their job because they are pushed to sell so hard n

  5. This was a landing in high winds if I remember correctly I have been on other airlines and landed in high winds and had similar experiences. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a chance to slag Ryanair. I’m old enough to remember when it was many hundreds of pounds to fly to London then Ryanair came along with their no frills airline that massively brought down the price of flights Europe wide.

  6. You only notice it when you fly with someone else. Had a landing with aer Lingus that felt like a feather falling

  7. Dublin gets some mad crosswinds, I had a much worse landing at night a few weeks ago flying back from Heathrow with Aer Lingus.

  8. What’s that supposed to mean? They’ve never had a crash in spite of hundreds of thousands of flights. It’s an impeccable record.

  9. Reminder that Ryanair currently operate nearly 3000 flights a day and in the history of the airline there has never been a single passenger fatality.

  10. I love flying Ryanair I will wait in my seat till the queue is actually moving not stop start take the bags out of over head lockers then walk straight out and chill the whole way through the airport and could still beat those people that were standing to the buses
