Don`t use morals to judge a possible rapist? Think the courts need a word with themselves, what a bizarre thing to say.
It’s a totally fair thing to say by the judge. This case has shed a lot of light on Mendy clearly being a womaniser, and from a lot of people’s points of view probably disrespectful towards women. But people judging him for this need to be careful to remember it’s not relevant to whether or not he raped someone.
Normal people might think “oh he seems like a bad egg so he’s probably the type to rape” but you can’t use that logic in court.
So many man City fans on here desperate to defend this scumbag. Vile behaviour.
Jurors shouldn’t project their values onto defendants.

Call me an old fuddy-duddy, Mary Whitehouse-esque moral crusader if you will but I’m going to come out and say it, rape is bad.
On a serious note though having contempt for women is not an inconsequential personality trait when it comes to being a rapist, and should really be allowed to be considered in a rape trial, it’s not proof but it’s indicative.
