They need to take a leaf out of Universal Credit book. Any money they earn is taken from their MP pay at 55p per pound.
I thought the Owen Paterson scandal was him lobbying on behalf of companies that were paying him, not just for *having* a second job?
Well of course he has. They are trying to ban us protesting so we can’t say shit about it even if we wanted too and if you asked tory voters they are too busy choking down whatever lie boris told them to care. So why not take advantage of the idiots who elected you? They clearly want it
As long as that is outside his standard 45 hour, 5 days a week job as a member of parliament and is declared so there aren’t any conflicts of interest, I don’t see a problem.
Most of them have second jobs. More to the point Boris isn’t going to stop the gravy train and good olde Boris will just tell him how each vote has to go anyway so he doesn’t need to read or understand any of the legislation anyway.
How the heck to people land these hugely paid consultancy roles? Literally just by being an mp and knowing the right people?
Random that he works in furniture world too
Is there a conservative MP who doesn’t have extra jobs?
