Milk and cheese drive food price inflation to 45-year high

  1. Hasn’t milk been stable for years, I’m sure the dairy produces have been saying the supermarkets have been screwing them down and it’s not been that profitable. Perhaps this is just milk getting to the level it should be, not great timing for the consumer but having ridden the wave of cheap food it’s levelling out.

  2. Yeah that’s what it is, milk and cheese, its gotta be those dairy farmers , I’m glad this was pointed out because I was under the impression it was caused by corporate greed and a shitty excuse for a government.

  3. We go through about 20 liters of milk each week that’s only two people btw it’s getting expensive.

has anyone got a decent alternative that’s good for tea, coffee and cereal?

Spending 40 quid a week on milk now is nuts we need something more cost effective.

  4. And the Conservative government have altered the items judged to calculate the inflation rate.
It would be massively higher if they hadn’t been changed.
