  1. Well, you have power and ethernet but you don’t seem to have anything connected in it that provides internet… So, unless this is 4G then you need to connect it to the.. internet, with a cable. I don’t see what the top most connector is, the next two are RJ11 that connect to the telephone socket. Off topic but i just noticed how stupid font reddit is using, that uppercase J got a massive underhang and is way too close to the perceiving letter. JJ is almost looks like elongated omicron symbol… sorry, get distracte…

  2. Is the connection type in the house/apartment ethernet or adsl/vdsl?

Is that yellow cable connected to wall outlet?

Is there ports inside your house/apartment fuse box?

  3. I can’t see any labels on those sockets, but usually the yellow sockets would be your internal network, the red socket would be to WAN – which you’re probably not using. The Green and the Grey sockets – one will probably be the connection to the land line and the other will probably be for a telephone handset. Without labels it’s tricky to tell. Not sure about the black blob adjacent to the green socket.

You need to connect from one of the yellow sockets to your home network/PC/Console/Mac etc. and from the wall port to the green or grey socket. There should be a label somewhere to say which is which.

  4. Check your fuse box if there are numbered ports. If there are, connect from the fuse box to the router, then with a cable from wall to PC

  5. Is this a connection from a student accommodation? If so, most times you have to call to activate it. When a place is vacant they discontinue the service till the next person comes

  6. You probably have to attach the power cord, and the ethernet cable. Don’t forget to turn it on also.

  7. Even the backside of my “modem” has a power led on the backside.
    Are you surely getting power?

Reset the modem. Detach and retach everything.

If you’re trying to connect via WiFi, then observe the ID on the modem.

(Not me but) some neighbours had connecting probs and when I asked they thought their modem was IDed as “their”. (nothing personal)

-haven’t read the other comments, there were too many

  8. Check if you can access Telia’s own site (but nothing else) when you’re connected via wifi/ethernet, if that works then you’ll need to call them to “activate” the connection.

  9. Although you have a dedicated ETH WAN port, sometimes ISPs will deliver the routers with the ETH LAN Port 1 mapped instead. Try connecting this yellow cable to the port 1.

If you have the RJ-11 cable, try and connect it to the wall socket and then to the grey port. In my building they recently did the works and for some stupid reason I still need to use RJ-11 so you may be in the same situation.

Also check in the electrical junction box at the entrance of your apartment. Are you sure the connection from the building is correctly routed to the wall plug?
