Something wrong with that stats I’m Polish and telling ya there is more police forces in Poland than guards here.
What is a Garda ?
When did the EU become a country
Also surprised by Germany. Police are fucking everywhere. If the left so much as sneezes on a bank about 5 van loads show up to batter them. You see police on the beat much more as well.
Cyprus figure skewed due to the presence of the UN? or small population like Malta?
Now show officers that are out on the beat per 100,000, not stuck waiting in court for a traffic points/other minor case that may not happen at all.
Take that, Denmark
Uhhh, England, N. Ireland, Scotand, and Wales aren’t in the EU…
I go to Hungary alot. there’s way more police presence than in Ireland. They’re everywhere.
I wonder, are these numbers skewed by civilian support staff?
Am guessing that a lot of detail could be hidden in these figures, like are passport control and immigration done by their police force, numbers of civilian employed by police services. Just looking at the figure and making a direct comparison is dangerous. Also the figure could be bang on.
Palestine has something like 1750 iirc
As an American living in Ireland, the lack of police presence here is hugely refreshing

Why is the EU in its own list?
