If he’d used any weapon except a car there is no way it would have been given a community resolution order.
Attack anyone or their property with any other kind of weapon and your going to jail. Do it with a car and you get a slap on the wrist. Should be a driving ban at the very fucking least.
Why exactly has this man not been banned from driving?
Why was he blocking the driver moving out a yellow box?
it’s considered so important to get out of the box junction that they have cameras to fine you, so maybe it was some sort of emergency that he egressed from the hatched area

Protip: don’t argue with randoms in the street, because you don’t know how dangerous they are.
Not saying that the car isn’t in the wrong, but the cyclist was blocking the car with his bike. He should’ve let it go and not stood in the road arguing too.
Looks like a red mist incedent we don’t see what leads up to this .Not that that is any excuse for the driver. I think an assault charge would be correct just from the video evidence
Moral of the story is don’t use a weapon when carrying out a potentially fatal assault, just use a car and you’ll be let off with a telling off or fine.
**Real story:** Cyclist ran a red light, because hes a cyclist, causing the driver to have to do an emergency brake and in a yellow-box zone, cyclist being a cunting cyclist *yells at the driver despite being the one in the wrong, escalating and aggressing the situation.*
Mad driver pulls forwards, out of the box youre legally not allowed to stop in, crushing cyclists bike. The cyclist himself was NOT crushed (awful title) just his bike.
Fuckin baiters man, you people fall for it every time. Dont run a red light on your bike just because you dont want to stop, and almost cause a crash because of it, then have the surprised pikachu face when people call you out for it.
Did a google for this story to find an alternative source and stumbled on a Piston Heads discussion about this and even there few people are siding with the motorist (unlike in the DM).
