“The force said a “thorough criminal investigation” was required to establish the facts but added that the case has been closed and no-one will face charges”
nothing to see here
I’m a life long proponent of assisted suicide, the right to die and so forth.
In recent years I’ve been wondering more and more, how it would be possible to enact laws that would have the intended purpose without any of the negative aspects that many countries seem to be experiencing.
It’s fucking insane how we treat assisted dying. We give more compassion and care to animals than we do humans.
>Dyfed-Powys Police said assisting a suicide was a criminal offence.
Which it is, currently. Making this about the police is stupid. They don’t decide the law. Parliament does that.
I don’t understand this obsession with interfering with other people’s private choices that our government has, and also those who oppose liberal assisted suicide laws or even repealing laws which allow the authorities to intervene in private suicides.
Assisted suicide would be tying the rope to the ceiling and helping her into it, surely?
Riding shotgun to Dignitas? Sounds like the dumbest possible interpretation of the law?
I wonder who phoned the police and what the real motivations were.
Will they arrest my dad for taking me to the airport to fly to Amsterdam and smoke their finest “illegal” wares? Insane logic. This country is becoming more authoritarian by the week.

Anyone in the UK who would like the legal right to die can sign my petition. Here is my blog post with the petition at the end. https://schopenhaueronmars.com/2022/11/07/when-safety-becomes-slavery-negative-rights-and-the-cruelty-of-suicide-prevention/
