Such a gaudy name and sign makes it all the more sacrilegious.
I hope them floorboards can take it.
There’s similar in stoke, but with the better name of “Give me strength”
It’s the only way to get that elusive 1% through the doors. Put a million dollars on a sign and they’ll come!
Does this mean the collection thermostat got right to the top?
Redruth?
Not for the greater good T_T
I’m kind of glad these historical buildings whether you agree with their original purpose or not are being preserved through use
At least if you walk in there now they can actually help you. Still gotta pay though
Fine establishment run by a great Vicar , Samuel Hyde
2000 push ups for Jesus
Eh I love when they are used like this
One would be the one in London that is a food market sorta thing, it’s really cool
You can achieve the body of a God there.
Bonds Hill, Derry.
Derry, been there a few years now I think.
Nice old building.
Good to see it in use for something worthwhile.
Better than its original use
Obligatory Cross Fit comment.
There’s a nightclub in Bournemouth in an old church called Halo
Rise up!
And down again..
“Come for the lifts, bro. Stay for the prayers, yo!”
Really missed an opportunity here — how is this not a CrossFit?
The sign of the times is repurposing amazing old buildings that are no longer needed for their intended purpose. I’m all for using these spaces however they can be if it means keeping them.
Creatine the earth in 7 days.
The church has sold loads of properties. One by me is an indoor rock climbing centre.
I am all for the preservation of beautiful old buildings by repurposing them, but that sign is hideously modern and does not flow well, it should be a more traditional designed sign to flow with it’s holding entity.
That font does not get along pleasantly with gothic!
Good. The further this country gets away from religion, the better.
Always better for churches to be reused as public spaces, as collectively the public paid for them originally.
And the less god bothering we have the better, that is something I am proud of my country for, our pronounced and growing lack of interest in religion.
I always feel the business name really gives away what the business owner might be like / look like.
This is just down the street from me, always found it a bit depressing tbh
