We now have 22% of the population boosted. That is the point at which hospitalizations peaked in Israel in their last wave (29th August). Hopefully, we will see a similar pattern here.
I had guessed about 40% for mRNA protection, but should hopefully be up to 70% with a booster. As you might expect AZ was practically useless against symptomatic infection, although I would imagine it protects against severe illness.
Next step is how long until boosters are available to the younger population? Currently walk-ins available for 50+ in some MVCs, but it depends on their ability to scale up again…
511 people in hospital with Covid, not because of Covid
To make up for the absence of death figures:
~300 people have died in the last month, ~500 in the last two months.
Both total active cases and death rate are steadily increasing, despite boosters.
Did they close the gyms or that guy just gave up?
So is the plan long term to just ensure everyone gets jabbed every 6 months and make better vaccines and that’s that ?
