Energy should be regulated so there are no excess profits. Its too important for people and businesses alike and therefore the health of society as a whole.
There is still plenty of money to be made from energy as we’ve seen over the past century or more.
Moaning that they will invest less in renewables if they can’t price gouge us shows where their priorities really lie.
So as I understand it, renewable energy generators don’t see that extra profit anyway. I thought the excess went into a pot to fund more renewable projects?
So isn’t this just taking that money out of that pot and letting the oil and gas companies off the hook?
