More proof if any was needed that Kier’s blairite brigade is ideologically opposed to Corbyn and the hashed up claims against him were all manufactured without any substance
such petty behaviour. the public flogging of corbyn by the labour party for the entertainment of the right is just bullying. does anyone trust this new labour lot to have your back when they behave like this? i don’t.
Before the pro and anti Corbyn factions start having their arguments. There is the fact that Corbyn is currently 73 years old and for whatever point the next general election is. He probably shouldn’t be standing again anyway. He should stand down and let someone younger take his seat
It’s got nothing to do with political expediency and everything to do with vindictiveness and spite, and unless Labour commit to the PR in their next manifesto they won’t be getting my vote. Enough of this toxic factionalism, for God’s sake.
“Man who actually seems to give a shit about the country and not his own pockets too dangerous to lead” fixed the title
This Labour Party, the party of Blair and Brexit, will never stand for anything of passion or integrity, which is a heartbreaking tragedy, given that the country has never needed them more than now.
Incorrect. He does stand for Labour, just not the Labour Party.
The two are not the same anymore.
Edit: I’d love to reply but I’ve been banned from GnP!!!! My 1st Reddit ban, I’ll remember you always…after all who forgets their 1st!!!!

Edit 2: Oops this ain’t GreenAndPleasant lol. Ok, we’ll I’m still not replying cuz I’m busy, or something.
Labour are trying to win back the blue collar working class by stabbing the left leaning educated youth in the back. And Corbyn is a symbol of that entire demographic.
You’ve got to feel for students. Every time they trust a party, that party throws them under the bus. First it was the Lib Dems under Clegg, now it’s Labour under Starmer.
But I’m sure Starmer still expects the youth vote, despite offering them absolute nothing.
No, he’ll stand as an independent in Islington and win. He’s one of the few that could do that.
With his recent hot takes on Ukraine, I should hope not.
I like JC a lot. And on another day we can all have it out and go back and fourth about the man.
But the perception of him and the successful assassination of his character has made him poison to labour’s electability.
This labour government is doing what it needs to do to get into power, realpolitik.
Jeremy is a very good man but he is also committed to his political ideology which leads him to associate occasionally with people who are not decent and have stupid ideas. He is electoral repellent and the party is better off without him and moving on.
The Tories will be disappointed, they could use Corbyn at the next election…
At the very least, this is Labour throwing away Islington North. Corbyn is very popular there and will either win as an independent or split the Labour vote.
It’s really funny watching the Corbynistas in this thread – they act towards Corbyn exactly like Boris loyalists do for Boris.
The difference is, the Boris supporters actually gave him the chance to earn power, whereas the Corbynistas prefer to shout from the sidelines rather than figure out ways to implement policies.
After everything that’s happened over the last decade they’re still talking about Corbyn. The man is powerful.
Corbyn’s stance on the Salisbury Novichok incident was comical;
‘Can we ask uncle Vlad whether he did it or not?’ Ffs 🤦♂️
He never should have left the back benches. He doesn’t strike me as the egotistical type, so I don’t know what possessed him.
“Don’t look at what the Tories are doing! Obsess over the old grey haired man again!”
Well this is interesting.
Not so long ago, we were reading about an elitist group within labour that shot down any and all dissent with any one of the Corbyn Labour’s principles. No debate, no discussion, nothing. Those who had any disagreement with either the objective or the approach was effectively ousted from the party, being withheld from invitations to party meetings and events and stymied from meeting with leadership.
It almost feels as though this is a purge of all those involved therein, and they are now using connections within industries to discredit the current leadership. The more this goes on, the less happy I am with the Labour party – or, at least, those members who are espousing this “all or nothing” kind of defeatism. It’s slimy and underhanded, and serves little purpose other than to stick a pin in the heel of the current labour leadership, hobbling their attempts to mount an effective opposition to the Conservatives. Congratulations, you are your own worst enemy. Fuck this noise.
Honestly, the moment he would not stand opposed to Brexit he was done for me.
I’m starting to think Corbyn is the enemy of establishment. They’re painting him like he’s public enemy nr 1 when tories have done far far far worse and don’t get treated this bad.
The vitriol in this country for a decent bloke who just wanted a fairer, better country is astounding. We deserve the Tories.
I used to hate corbyn now I just think he was sneered by the media because he actually had the peoples interests at heart. All this bollocks about him being an anti Semite when the media basically said sod all about borris being openly racist and homophobic on multiple occasions.
