Hi everyone, quite possible this is a stupid question and that I’m failing at googling – but is it known where the typical design of the Austras koks came from?

Like, where did this come from? I’ll try again to google this but I was wondering if it’s common knowledge or anything of the sort.

It’s common for the Indo-European cultures
It’s ancient enough so that nobody knows where it came from. That said, it’s origins are probably Balto-Finnic, since it is known from Livonians using it in the Middle Ages.
