I’m 17 and have lived in ireland for 16 years.

  1. All the info is in that link you posted.

    As you’re only 17, you can’t apply as an adult.
    You’re legally a “child” until you are 18.

    >A child cannot make the application by themselves. The application must be made by their parent, legal guardian or a person acting on the child’s behalf ‘in loco parentis’.

  2. Get your parents to apply before you are 18 as the fee is €200 instead of €950.. if you ever left Ireland you would have to register your intention to retain Irish Citizenship every year.
