Christ, I really want to support protestors, but why does it seem like recently every protestor is just out to pat themselves on the back for being “activists” while having basically no actual knowledge of the facts of the thing?

“The Metropolitan Police claim that the man had not been arrested or brought into the station by officers. He had been in and out of the station since 9am yesterday morning. There is also no evidence that he was attempting to report a crime.”
Nobody knew why he was there im guessing this was a pre meditation suicide rather than an emotional moment.
So … what are they protesting about?

He climbed onto a kiosk of some sort and jumped off.
So desperate to jump to conclusions to feed the their self righteous, cop bashing/anti-establishment narrative.
Meh, I say the protesters are on the right track. The state is the state, whether it’s a shoddy NHS IAPT service, a shoddy welfare system, or a shoddy police force. They all represent the same thing – a draconian, neo-fascist, social darwinist UK government that likes to cover up evidence of its own policies killing disabled people (among other terrifying things).
Everyone decrying the protesters ITT as “stupid” and “cringe” is completely out of touch. We should be protesting idiocy such as this left right and centre at every opportunity we can.
Spare me the logic chopping. It’s not about *that* particular police station, or *this* particular suicidal man, or the particular details of *this* case. It is about a state so backwards and twisted that someone, anyone, could even be driven so far to the brink as to kill themselves in a police station. That is unacceptable regardless of the details.
