Well, to be honest they didn’t lie. As a Turk I understand it. They said Turkey is joining the EU, there wasn’t anything related to timeframe. I do agree with former PM Cameron. With this rate we might join in the year 3000. It’d still be true! But Penny Mordaunt lied about UK not having a veto. If Brits didn’t want it, they could block our accession or even chapter just like Cyprus and France.
