Pleasantly surprised that they aren’t condemning the plan, just saying that it’s not enough and more needs to be done to stop these crossings.
Why can’t we just do it ourselves… spend the money on our own security
This deal is absolute classic conservative failure. Giving away our money to another country without setting any kind of payment dependant performance targets. The French are laughing at us and dining out on our dime thanks to this.
Still ignoring the obvious way to prevent most of these Channel crossings – set up a way of requesting asylum in UK from northern France and bring asylum seekers safely to UK.
Then quickly assess asylum claims to get them settled and working or removed back to their homeland.
Second time lucky for this plan. If it fails, the wave machine is up again.
