Found this quite interesting, and potentially damaging to Labour’s chances at the next general election considering how they’ve lost a lot of members and therefore donations. Leaves them in a more vulnerable position. Something has to give I guess? Perhaps Starmer will pick up donations from the business sector.
This is the right decision by Unite and Graham.
Starmer’s Labour have been given enough chances to show that they might be worth Unite members’ money and have failed at every hurdle.
I hope this money in the Union’s hands will be put to better work now.

why back a party that has lost its identity and morphing into tories with a red badge
Labour losing another unions backing and funding that’s not very good.
I hold the view that the number one priority at the next election is removing the Tories from power – whether that’s via a Labour win or a liberal coalition (more likely).
For this reason I see this as a positive for Labour. They are far *less* electable when they are associated with anything that the ‘man on the street’ associates with Corbyn.
While I personally feel a *’Corbynite’* version of socialism would be great, I don’t think it wins an election right now.
The Torries are literally fumbling at every step
All the opposition needs to do is appear competent. That’s it
The GE is on a silver platter and they don’t even seem hungry
This is really petulant of the Unite leadership. They should at least have the guts to poll this decision to their members.
Sharon Graham has maybe not done a good job of managing Unite so she’s gone back on her key promise of staying out of Labour politics and focusing on her workers, which is what got her elected.
The gap between capital and workers is growing at an astonishing rate and Labour under Kier Starmer is saying nothing to suggest that this will be changed in anyway. It is no wonder trade unions are pulling funding he just isn’t a leader representing Labour, which is almost all of us in the UK very few of us make our living from capital unless we inherited it and the labour of this country is just getting poorer and poorer.
Labour is broken, this is just another symptom of it.
In the mean time we are stuck with the mess from Eaton, while Labour fail to build any real momentum in opposition.
Hopefully Dominic Cummings is correct on this occasion & the septic mop stands down before the next election to take advantage of more lucrative financial opportunities.
Good. Maybe labour will start to get the hint that moving right isnt their ticket to power.
