Starmer challenges Sunak by suggesting PM’s allies want to renegotiate Brexit| The Labour leader vowed not to cross the ‘red line’ of bringing back freedom of movement

  1. I’m going to vote for Starmer; but sometimes he doesn’t make it easy.

Brexit was a total disastrous failure; and accepting this and taking measures to undo it should be on the political landscape.

  2. Starmer basically trying to divide the moderate and hardliners in the Tories. Sunak is toying with the idea of freedom of movement, which goes against everything the hardline Brexiteers (i.e. ERG) wanted and what was presented to the electorate as incompatible with a “real Brexit”. Remainers or those that want to rejoin the EU will likely vote for labour anyways, since the Tories are too closely linked to Brexit, but this might poach a few working-class pro Brexit voters from the Tories. I doubt this is an actual statement of intent, but simply a political strategy. Elections are far away and promises / statements die quickly, but worsening polls will harm Sunak and likely stoke the fires of internal division in the Tories.

  3. That is an imaginary line. It is also directly hurting UK businesses.

So it should probably be crossed.

  4. This is another reason why I can never say ‘I support Labour’ – despite being profoundly anti-tory.

Corbyn was an anti-semite apologist. Starmer is a brexiteer. My local labour MP was imposed on the area (a newbie – at the last minute, in a safe seat) simply because he’s shagging a senior female labour MP.

Honestly, The people I most admire in Westminster are the SNP – but I dont live in Scotland, so cant vote for them
