He was holding a wee cardboard sign that said “Home to Donegal” so we gave him a lift.

  1. Wait are ye the legends who made the music video for Down at the Ladeedaa for him? Amazing work if so

  2. I worked gigs in the Point/o2/3 Arena and the RDS for years and Daniel is actually mad sound. Good sense of humor, we ribbed him about a singing christmas card we found on stage after a show one year and ended up roasting us in turn.

“At least i have singing Christmas cards!”

  3. My father was on the road working a few years ago and stopped for dinner in a hotel restaurant and met Daniel also eating at the bar beside him and got to talking for a few hours before hitting the road again (No drink involved). He came away from the experience disliking him, Daniel moaned about how expensive the place was (Dinner was €15 for a main) and gave out to the young girl serving them because she gave him change in small coin (like €4 in 50c coins). Dad said he was very pleasant to chat to but treatedstaff like dirt and was up there with the cheapest people he ever met even though the guys a multi milionaire, he moaned about the price of everything and hinted at my dad picking up the bill whichg blew my dads mind who politely payed for just his own food (this blew my dads mind).

My dad felt so bad for how he acted to staff that after they both left he went back in to apologise and leave a decent tip for the girls serving them even though he was just chatting with him over dinner and not there with him.
