What a full box of LX chocolates look like (gift for providing in-flight medical assistance)

  1. I’ve seen the large bars of LX schoggi before, but this was new to me. I always enjoyed the little in-flight chocolates that Swiss hands out on all their flights, so this was definitely a nice but unexpected surprise.

Background: flew from the US to ZRH a few days ago and was the only physician on board (or at least only one who responded to the PA request). Not a huge issue but was my first in-flight emergency. Crew was super helpful and LH group flights apparently carry a lot of medical kit including defib and iv capabilities.

Beside the chocolate also got a voucher towards a future flight, a First class amenity kit and a bottle of wine.

  2. I got a bag of the ones shaped as mini footballs, during one of big football events. Got it for being on a receiving end of an attendant-coffee-pants incident.

Sounds like you deserved yours much more than I did.

  3. Just had a VERY bad experience with Swiss.

Long story short, this Company went in the “avoid at all cost” pile..

  4. I was given a box like this and a big chocolate bar once because one of a member of the cabin crew spilled a bit of champagne on me. I always liked this chocolate TBH. Putting these out when guests come over always gets funny reactions.
