  1. > She claims that while the company informed her that she had accepted an exit package, Ms McSweeneny says she did not resign.

I mean, lol, employment doesnt work like this, however much we might wish it did. But good on her for taking a stand I guess

  2. Wouldn’t be surprised if Musk tried to close down the entire Dublin operation over this. Yes, he is that petty.

  3. EU will take Musk over the coals at some point, even if Twitter goes bankrupt. He will.be a juicy target for any politician as Musk has made a villain of himself.

  4. >She said while cuts were sought in her area of responsibility, she had a phone conversation with Elon Musk on November 13 where she claims he said that any excellent staff who had been let go should be reinstated.

    >She said he added that the criteria for reinstatement was “that the individual was excellent, performing a critical role” and was “not negative”.

    >She was “temporarily reassured” by what Mr Musk said but said two days later she was informed by an email on behalf of an associate of Mr Musk that a decision had been taken to reduce the size of the Twitter public policy team by 20pc.

    Lol.

In fairness to her, scoring a win in court and taking a wee lump out of Musk – or even just the publicity garnered from attempting it – will do more for her career as a public policy chief than any amount of success at Twitter.

  5. Good, I hope she succeeds. The way staff have been treated at Twitter is absolutely dreadful. I don’t know why any Irish companies are still publishing on that platform, if they have any sense of ethics they need to stop generating ad revenue for Musk and his shitty work practices.

  6. Hopefully this leads to the EU taking him down. Maybe he can get away with his anti-labour bullshit in the US, but not somewhere normal.

  7. This lady worked for Attorney General, Dept of Justice, equality and reform, the Guards, the nordie guards, 10 years in twitter. She’s going to take him to the cleaners.

  8. The way it’s been handled is a going to be a legal mess for twitter, you can’t take a short cut through employment law. Probably take years to sort it out

  9. >”Twitter will also be much more engineering driven, design and product management will still be very important and report to me, but those writing great code will constitute the majority of our and have the greatest sway.”

    He’s such a fucking tool. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

  10. This is good news, if you’re a well connected lawyer or barrister on a six-figure salary your employer can’t just sack you on the spot!

  11. Good on her. I don’t know how Elon could think *not* clicking on a link committing to selling your first born child for twitter constituted resigning
