Good for them. I can’t understand why teachers and nurses have put up with their working conditions for this long. I understand wanting to help students and patients but they are too damn nice for their own good.
The problem for most UCU members is that 90% of the country don’t know what they do and they don’t care. Every university in the country could close tomorrow and most of the elderly white readership of the Daily Mail, who think student grants still exist, wouldn’t notice.
