Sounds reasonable to me. I just hope that like police and nurses we don’t seem to have a national firefighter shortage in this country.
Shouldn’t really be a headline but that is sadly the state we are in, one I suspect is echoed around the country, just like the police service. The decent firefighters would have been pushed out and those who tried to blow the whistle would have found their jobs at risk. All of that will have allowed such a culture to fester.
Interesting to see a report criticising sexism, racism and misogyny, yet the BBC are using the outdated term, ‘fireman’. It’s a minor slip in the grand topic, but come on BBC, a minor bit of research would not have gone amiss.
Oh well the second job becomes their main job then..!
