What you bought isn’t conserved meat, but a finely ground mixture of rice, vegetables, and most likely the less desirable bits of fish. Some would say this is poor people’s food, but I used to eat similar stuff back in my hiking days (it had more tomato paste back then, if this is what I think it is)
