So, when can we expect Croatia to join? I am dying waiting for this. Article doesn’t mention a date

It’s already Christmas dear neighbors 🎉🎊
This is also important on a symbolic level because, if I am not mistaken, and whether it comes down to the Eurozone, the Schengen area or the EU itself, this is the first expansion of the European project since Brexit.
It is the first clear sign we get it is still moving forward.
Thank you Croatia!
Let those Serbs know what they’re missing out on for writing in the Cyrillic alphabet!
I hope soon, 30 years of border control most of us never wanted finally gone.
Navigating border queues was a pain, getting weed to the coast a nightmare.
We opened the border to every neighbour 15 years ago, except to the neighbour where we travel the most and care the most about.
finally! Zadar here I come
Plot twist: All travelers must show the Green Pass.
Welcome home Croat brothers and sisters!
Ironically, this will hurt me. Well, not really hurt, but be an annoyance. it already is. Stronger border controls on Bosnian border (now outer Schengen border) mean that when I drive for 20 minutes into Bosni to have a ćevapi, I have to wait 1-2 hours on the border to get back. I’m on the border longer than in the restaurant and traveling, combined.
In the old days before the EU, there was barely a border with Bosnia. Same for people closer to Serbia. Those along Hungarian and Slovene border celebrate.

Everyone lives next to the border in Croatia.
