New naturalization rules are being discussed now as part of Interior Ministry plans – [tagesschau article](https://www.tagesschau.de/faq-einbuergerungen-101.html)
I’m not at all familiar with how these type of projects are voted and how long it takes to become effective. Can someone with some Germany politics expertise explain how the process of approving such projects looks like and how long does it usually take (months, years)? Also, given the current progress of the new Citizenship Act project, which seems to me still on a early stage and still susceptible to modifications, how long should it take to become actual law?

My crystal ball says 11 years. I has a slight crack so it could be wrong.
It’s not even sure that it will come. So no one can guess a point of time.
