Before getting into the EU we gave them Petrom and not just the company but also all of its oil & gas licenses. I wonder what the Austrians want now so that they would stop blocking our admission into the Schengen area. I’ve heard that Austrian politicians are really into [Ibiza](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibiza_affair). Maybe the Romanian government should offer them some free vouchers to the [seaside](https://www.omvpetrom.com/en/our-business/exploration-and-production/neptun-deep)? What do you guys think? /s
I’m just so surprised that Austria is corrupt AF.
>For more than a decade, HS Timber Group [formerly known as Holzindustrie Schweighofer] required its Romanian timber suppliers to deliver extra wood for free without recording it, netting the Austrian company an estimated $34 million of unofficial timber.
Ahhh Austria again at it. Lovely country. No corruption at all. Guess which party has been in charge in the past 30 years. Look who of that party is being investigated – or better who is not, that’s the shorter list.
What a surprise ( not)
Ah yes Austria…
How did this company trick the whole Romanian govt and the conversation is about Austria?
Yes Austria is a corrupt country, but give the Romanian govt some agency, their sheer incompetence has allowed this first and foremost.
