Interessante. Para o pouco que eu conheço de Nova Iorque, até bate certo.
What is the equivalent in New York for Disneyland?
Anything south , west or east of Marques is that.
Wouldn’t know. I’d need a Lisboner’s guide to New York.
Por acaso, até bate mais ou menos certo.
Seems about right
That’s probably accurate.
I do think New York = Porto, just like L.A. = Lisbon. This is based on the general idea I have of the four cities and its folks.
Bronx seems legit
Pretty accurate although I’m not getting Williamsburg
I would include Queens as Moscavide..
I’d say Belém/Restelo is the Upper East Side whereas Parque das Nações is the Upper West Side. Bairro Alto and around is more akin to Greenwich Village than East Village, and your “Upper West” would be my Midtown. Your Manhattan doesn’t make much sense either, I’d rather place TriBeCa and SoHo there (Manhattan would be the whole island!). Brooklyn, The Bronx (could be Harlem as well) and Staten Island seem ok.
How can you compare two very different cities that barely resemble each other? San Francisco and Lisbon have more in common.
I think Bronx should be Queens
If anything, Lisbon is more like a west coast city.
If I showed you a map of NY with Lx neighbourhood names what would you say?

Ao ponto que isto chegou. Lisboa passou a ser dos USA claramente, já são mais que as mães.
Btw would put príncipe real as Hell’s Kitchen as it is a gay area just like Hell’s Kitchen

Spot on.
Uhh.. I….
What?
Are we supposed to know what all those places are? Do you realize that over 90% of portuguese people have never been to the states, much less NY?
Damn, you guys are tone deaf
What is Barreiro then? New Jersey 🙂
Alguém vá agora ao subreddit do NY fazer o mesmo mas a comparar Lisboa.
I think Almada would be more equivalent to Brooklyn, because it’s across the river and it has this hood culture that differs from Lisbon a little bit. Though I know Almada isn’t technically Lisbon.

seems legit
Bairro Alto is definitely the East Village. But your map includes Principe Real, which is more like the Village or the West Village.
Manhattan should be Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo. And I would also include Campo Grande as Central Park
Epá eu sei lá ó maninho
I think that by Manhattan you meant Midtown/Downtown Manhattan. Manhattan is the island where neighborhoods like Hell’s Kitchen or East Village are.

So is Cascais/Oeiras Queens?
Monsanto seria o Central Park
