  1. If the clock’s not on time set it by turning black ring clockwise. That white mark on the inner ring shows the time in first pic as 13:5something.

    Set timer by pressing that black ring and turning it counterclockwise. The red mark means end of heating and green is the start so it’s on for two hours.

  2. The white ring is an 24h clock.

    You can set the clock to the correct time by rotating the whole thing clockwice, until the correct number is at the top-left white thingy that has the small plastic nub and the 0-I imprinted on it.

    Example: The time is 12:00, so you rotate the number 12 to the nub on the top left triangle.

    The red arrow on the black ring indicates the time you want to have your car ready to go.

    Press the black ring down, and rotate it counter-clockwise until the red arrow is pointing at the desired time.

    Example: You want the car to be warm at 6AM, so you rotate the red arrow to “6”.

    For reference, the first picture would have the current time of day be 14:00, and the car would be ready at 08:00 in the morning.

  3. This wasn’t explicitly asked but I’ll be that guy and mention it anyway. The timer gives you a maximum of two hours of heating time but depending on the outside temperature and the heating solution, you shouldn’t always use the maximum time. It doesn’t harm the engine but you are getting diminishing returns from the heating so after a certain point you are just wasting electricity.

    I think a very rough general guideline has been

    * +5 °C to -5 °C –> 0,5 h to 1 h
    * -5 °C to -10 °C –> 1 h to 2 h
    * -10 °C onwards –> 2 h to 3 h

  4. It’s also worth noting that the mechanism will not start if you set the heating to start at the current time, you’ll need to rewind the time once for it to be in effect. At least, this is the case with our timer.
