The older wave Italian community is so well established that there’s nothing really Italian about them anymore except their surnames. Went to school with a Magliocco and a Nardone, and they were pure Dubs.
Think their grandparents or great-grandparents came over to run chippers or something like that.

My Nonno and Nonna are in the full documentary and I always well up seeing them so young. I’d watch another equivalent of another community if anyone knows one.
My grandas, granny was from Italy she lived on the old lodge road and spoke perfect Irish.
