Metro in Ireland would quickly become the biggest underground pool.
Less is more
Makes you wonder what we will end up with for MetroLink. I’m not a fan of the existing logo or name. Bit bland, nothing unique about it. there’s even other systems called MetroLink.
The suggestion I like is to go with calling it something like the Péist or Ollphéist. Nice nod to mythology and history, bit more interesting. Could be useful for motifs and public artwork around stations.
Nothing beats the Bilbao metro for me. Spotless, safe, always on time, great design and dirt cheap.
If it wasn’t for the English we wouldn’t even have rail lines. We can build fuck all.
This is very disingenuous! We have a logo… Just not the metro /s
The supposed metro of Palma, in the Balearic Islands, is a glorified railway. It has a grand total of 3 stops, maybe 4, inside the municipality’s borders and only one in the city center.
It’s just a railway line that happens to have a small section underground.
Italians never know if they’re going to the metro or to McDonalds
*unique, not pretty unique. something is either unique, or it is not unique.
Quite a few missing such as Tyne and Wear Metro and Merseyrail.
There are twice as many metros in France as there are depicted here.
I don’t think the one for Amsterdam is right. It’s a big blue M on a white background (or maybe vice-versa).

Belarus using batman sign?
The worst possible reason to build a metro is just because someone else has one. That’s just stupid. And even if it weren’t, there are loads of countries even in this map that don’t have a metro either.

Rennes, France, a city the same population as Cork, just opened its *second* [metro line](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rennes_Metro).
“we don’t need no stinkin’ logos” – Ireland Metro
